News from the final rounds of the YDL over the last couple of weeks has been a mixed story. At Kingston-Upon-Hull our U13's & U15's with a depleted team squad did brilliantly, but due to bigger turnouts by other sides including the home side we ended up finishing 5th. This means we narrowly get pushed into one of the relegation positions for next year finishing just short of 3rd and 4th place. However the good news for the squad is that in Division 1, they won't have to travel such ridiculous distances that the YDL demanded this year.
Meanwhile our U17's & U20's in their final round at Bebington today came a close 2nd place to Wirral even with a depleted team the athletes really clubbed together to perform brilliantly. This means that the team squad will narrowly miss out on promotion to the Premier Divison but coming a fantastic second place just behind Team North Wales.
Well done to all our athletes who competed on the day and throughout the other rounds this year in both the Lower and the Upper Leagues. Next year you won't have to make any round trips of 8 or 10 hours travel to any fixture.
