How do I renew my Membership at the Club?

To renew you membership you need only pay your Combined Annual Membership Fee and Training Fee on the 1st of April each year – £150 for Juniors up to U23. If there are any changes to your application details you must advise the Club e.g. – contact, medical details etc. To advise use simply download a Membership Form below, complete and sign it and then return it together with your Combined Annual Membership Fee and Training Fees payment to our Membership Team at the Club Desk on a Tuesday or Thursday.

Payment and any completed forms should be received by the Club on or before the 1st April for the membership year.

How do I join the Club?

Anyone interested in joining the Club, can either come to the Club and ask for information at the Club’s Registration Desk on training nights (Tuesday and Thursday 6.00pm to 7.30pm) or preferably e-mail the Club website under the Contact Form Section. The Club only accepts First Claim membership applications. Please state the athletes name, age, school year (if applicable), athletic and other sports experience. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT IN CERTAIN AGE GROUPS YOU MAY BE ASKED TO JOIN A WAITING LIST. The Club will ask athletes to take a FREE TRAINING in the form of an ASSESSMENT TRIAL SESSION with a coach/s to ensure the athlete is fully assessed for training and competition readiness. After that an athlete will be advised of if and when a further assessments are required. If not an athlete will be invited to join to become a First Claim Member of the club. Membership is finalised by simply completing an Application Form, Medical Form  (available from the website or at the Club Registration Desk) and returning this with your payment to the Membership Team . Club membership includes an England Athletics Affiliation as a competing athlete that allows the athlete to compete free for the Club in any national competition (Track & Field, Cross Country, Road, Indoor and Sportshall or Team based Championships).

Whe your application is accepted by the Committee you should download the Welcome Pack and in time you will receive your England Athletics Competition card with your Unique Registration Number in the post to your home address.

What do I need to know and do when I’ve joined the Club?

Members welcome packThere are a number of things that a new Member needs to be aware of and to do; and in the case of Junior Members (under 18 years of age), there are also a number of things the parent or guardian has to be aware of and do. This is all aimed at ensuring that the Club can make the environment safe and legal for all its members particularly its junior members.

All Members (and in the case of Juniors their parent/guardian) should:-

  • Read the  Athlete / Parent Code of Conduct Form (contained in the Welcome Pack)
  • Advise the Club of any change in their details (addresses, emergency telephone, medical details etc. as they may occur)

All Members (and in the case of Juniors their parent/guardian) should know :-

  1. The Codes of Conduct for Athletes, Parents, Coaches and Club Personnel
  2. The Track & Field Etiquette
  3. In the case of coached juniors – who the Junior Co-ordinator is?
  4. Where and when to check-in for training registration?
  5. Where to assemble just prior and after training?
  6. Who their coach / coaches for a training session are?
  7. Who the Club Head of Welfare is and who the deputies are?
  8. Who the Club First-Aiders are?
  9. What the Club Rules are and what the track and field etiquette is?
  10. What the Club Procedure for Unacceptable Behavoiur is?

If in doubt ask a member of the Committee at the Club at any time.

All Volunteers Seniors or Juniors (competing) £15.00 Membership. Payable on or before 1st April.

Non-Competing Volunteers Free of Charge.

Coached First Claim Junior and Senior to U23 – Pre-payment Option

Combined Annual Membership & Training Fees due on or before 1st April
£150.00. Please note Membership includes free entry for athletes to compete in all the winter and summer leagues and team championships that the Club affiliates to and Training includes all Club organised training sessions at venues throughout the year (Cumberland, MMU, SCS, Deeside etc.)

Sessions Tues, Thurs and Saturday or Sundays (when available) is included in Combined Membership and Training Fees
