2011 Tom Pink Relays and Highland Games

2011 Tom Pink GamesCrewe & Nantwich’s U11 & U13 athletes once again competed with great success at the annual Tom Pink Relays & Highland Games, at Birmingham’s NIA in front of some 1500 spectators. Despite the strong opposition from eleven other athletics clubs, Crewe & Nantwich came away with 7 gold medals, 5 silvers and 4 bronzes; they were also 4th in seven times and 5th in a further ten events.

 

Crewe & Nantwich’s U11 & U13 athletes once again competed with great success at the annual Tom Pink Relays & Highland Games, at Birmingham’s NIA in front of some 1500 spectators. Despite the strong opposition from eleven other athletics clubs, Crewe & Nantwich came away with 7 gold medals, 5 silvers and 4 bronzes; they were also 4th in seven times and 5th in a further ten events.

GOLD medals went to: Ewan Ashman and Eve Nickisson in Weight for Distance, Rebecca Males in Caber, Shaunnah Murphy in Shot, U11 Girls’ 1000m Relay Team (Katie Hughes, Liberty Hughes, Rebecca Males, Ella Nicholls & Eve Nickisson), U11 Girls’ Over & Under Relay Team (Liberty Hughes, Ella Nicholls, Eve Nickisson & Amber Parry) and U13 Girls’ 3x500m Relay Team (Annie Huntbach, Shaunnah Murphy & Freya Taylor-Hatswell).

SILVER medals went to: Lewis Palin and Liberty Hughes in Long Jump, Jacob Farleigh and Ella Barker in Highland Steps, and Shaunnah Murphy in Weight for Height.

BRONZE medals went to: Ewan Ashman in Soft Javelin, Sophie Hughes in Caber, Monique Latham in Triple Jump, and U13 Boys’ 3x500m Relay Team (Fred Dobberson, Bailey Taylor & Sam West).
